EDITORIAL POLICY

Evidence first. Labels that mean something.

Our policy separates public-document research from hands-on product testing and keeps commercial relationships out of the ranking process.

Coverage labels

Research guide

Built from official pricing pages, feature documentation, program terms, and publicly available product materials. It does not claim that we created a paid account or used the interface.

Hands-on test

Used only after the product completes our demo workflow. The article must state the plan, test date, device context, and what could not be tested.

Sponsored

Paid content must be labeled at the top. Sponsorship cannot determine a score, comparison winner, or editorial conclusion.

The workflow scorecard

  • Lead intake — 20% Vehicle, service, location, and customer capture.
  • Estimating — 25% Vehicle size, condition, packages, add-ons, approvals, and deposits.
  • Mobile job flow — 25% Scheduling, routing context, notes, photos, completion, and payment.
  • Follow-up — 20% Aftercare, reviews, reminders, and repeat booking.
  • Total cost — 10% Subscription, users, messaging, payments, and necessary upgrades.

A research guide can earn a shortlist position but not a hands-on performance claim.

Source rules

Pricing and feature claims should link to an official vendor page whenever possible. We date price checks, avoid treating promotional prices as permanent, and note when a plan selector changes by team size or billing term. Third-party commentary can identify questions, but it does not override the product’s current terms.

Commercial independence

Vendors cannot pay for a rank, score, award, or omission. Affiliate availability is considered only as a business-model check for the publication; it is not part of the product score. A product without an affiliate program can still be the best recommendation.

When affiliate links are introduced, the relationship will be disclosed clearly at the top of the article and close to the relevant link.

Updates and corrections

Software pricing and features change quickly. Material revisions receive a new “updated” date. If a vendor supplies a correction, we verify it against current documentation before changing the article; accepting a factual correction does not give the vendor editorial approval.
