QUICK VERDICT
QuoteIQ for a leaner start. Jobber for earlier self-service booking.
QuoteIQ is the stronger budget-first shortlist for a solo detailer who wants estimates, invoices, payments, and photo documentation. Jobber is easier to justify when customer booking and a polished client portal matter immediately.
- Lower entry price: QuoteIQ Essentials
- Earlier online booking: Jobber Core
- Detailing photo workflow: QuoteIQ Beginner
- Client self-service: Jobber Client Hub
The comparison is not simply “cheap versus expensive.” QuoteIQ starts at $29.99 per month and includes the core estimate-to-payment workflow, but customer self-quoting and self-booking begin at Elite, currently $299 per month. Jobber's standard no-commitment one-user Core price is higher at $49 per month, yet its current plan matrix includes online booking on Core.
For many one-van detailers, the deciding question is this: do you need better job documentation now, or do you need customers to book themselves now? Test the product that solves the first measurable bottleneck rather than buying the longest feature list.

PRICING
Compare the cheapest complete workflow—not the cheapest logo.
QuoteIQ's published monthly ladder is Essentials $29.99, Beginner $74.99, Pro $149.99, Elite $299, and Max $699. For a solo detailer, Beginner is often the meaningful step up because it adds QuoteIQ Cam, inspections, review tools, and e-signatures. Read our full QuoteIQ pricing analysis for the feature gates and annual equivalents.
Jobber's official pricing page currently lists standard no-commitment one-user prices of Core $49, Connect $139, and Grow $199 per month. Plus is listed at $499 with five users. Promotions and annual billing can lower the displayed effective monthly amount, so promotional prices should not be treated as permanent.
A $29.99 QuoteIQ plan is not a substitute for Jobber Core if self-booking is mandatory. Conversely, paying for Jobber's broader client workflow may be unnecessary if you still book every job personally and mainly need estimates, invoices, photos, and payments.
BOOKING AND CLIENT EXPERIENCE
Jobber makes self-service easier to buy early.
Jobber lists online booking on Core. Its Client Hub allows customers to approve quotes, see appointment details, pay deposits and invoices, and leave tips. That combination gives a small service business a customer-facing workflow without moving to the top plan.
QuoteIQ includes an internal calendar on every plan, but its customer-facing InstaQuote and InstaSchedule tools are listed on Elite and Max. InstaSchedule can let a customer select a time after accepting an estimate, subject to the business's availability and approval settings. That is capable, but the current $299 entry point materially changes the value calculation.
DETAILING WORKFLOW
QuoteIQ has the clearer photo-documentation path.
QuoteIQ Beginner adds QuoteIQ Cam and inspection reports, which map naturally to arrival-condition photos, interior or exterior findings, and before/after documentation. That does not make QuoteIQ a vehicle-first system, but it gives detailers a relevant workflow without buying the highest tier.
Jobber supports forms and checklists on Connect and visual quotes on Grow. Those tools can be adapted to detailing, while Jobber's broader strength is coordinating requests, quotes, visits, invoices, client communications, and integrations across many field-service trades.
Neither vendor's public plan page should replace a real trial. Create the same sedan, SUV, coating, reschedule, and maintenance-plan jobs in both products. Check whether the customer and vehicle history remain understandable after multiple visits.
WHICH SHOULD YOU CHOOSE?
Use this shortlist.

- You prefer a detailing-relevant workflow before a broad integration catalog
- You need online booking on the entry plan
- A client portal is central to approvals, visits, and payments
- You expect broader field-service integrations and operational structure
- The standard monthly price is justified by fewer booking and payment handoffs
